REGISTRATION DETAILS
How Registration Works
Houston United accepts deposits to reserve team spots and reviews each registration before confirming a team's place in the league. The full process:
• Step 1 — Submit Deposit: Your team submits a $500 deposit through this page. This reserves a tentative spot in your chosen division.
• Step 2 — League Review: Our team reviews every registration. We evaluate fit with the league, competitive level, coaching, division balance, and roster expectations. Review takes approximately 5 to 10 business days.
• Step 3 — Approval Decision: If your team is approved, you will receive an approval email with instructions for completing final registration. If your team is declined, your deposit is refunded in full.
• Step 4 — Final Registration: Approved teams submit their full roster, complete the remaining $150-per-athlete payment (less the deposit), and receive league communications and schedule information. Full payment and rosters are due by August 1, 2026.
Important: Submission of a deposit does not guarantee acceptance into the league.
Houston United reserves the right to approve or decline any team registration at our sole discretion. Reasons for declining a registration may include space limitations in a division, fit with the league's competitive and developmental philosophy, coaching considerations, or other factors. Declined teams will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

Multi-Team Discounts
Organizations registering multiple teams across more than one age division receive an automatic discount on the per-athlete fee:
• 2 teams: 5% off ($142.50 per athlete)
• 3 teams: 10% off ($135.00 per athlete)
• 4 or more teams: 15% off ($127.50 per athlete)
The discount applies to every team in the organization. If you are registering multiple teams under the same organization, indicate this on the registration form so the discount can be applied to your balance.

• All-Star team selection for 10U and older age divisions (selection is based on player age, not the division a team played in), with league-provided uniforms for national tournament play
Tournament-Friendly Scheduling
Submit your tournament schedule with your registration. We work with every team to plan league games around tournament commitments.
Division Choice Flexibility
Houston United offers flexible division placement to meet teams where they are competitively:
• Play in your age division: The standard option for most teams. Your division is determined by the age of your oldest eligible player as of August 1, 2026.
• Play up one division: Any team may choose to register in one division older than its age division, subject to space availability. For example, a 10U team may register in 12U. There is no additional fee for playing up. Teams may only play up one division (not two).
• Insufficient teams in your age division: If your age division doesn't form, you can choose between a full refund or playing up in the next-older division at no additional cost.
• Playing down: Registering in a division younger than your team's natural age requires prior written approval from the League Director and is rarely granted. Submit any request at least 14 days before the registration deadline.

Before You Register: Refund Policy Summary
Please review our refund policy before submitting your deposit. Key dates:
• Deposit fully refundable through July 1, 2026
• Deposit 50% refundable July 2 - July 20, 2026
• Deposit non-refundable after July 20, 2026
• Full balance due August 1, 2026; non-refundable after that date
• Full refund issued if we cannot form a viable division in your age group
• Full refund if your team is declined after review
• No refunds once the season begins on August 15, 2026, except for documented injury, relocation, or league cancellation
